Shower Curtain Alterations

A Happy Labor Day weekend to all!
In my previous post I mentioned about lengthening all the shower curtains in my house...it just makes the bathroom look way more "dressed" instantly.

A Very good friend of mine, Christina, who is a wizzard at thrift store decorating, and who, by the way, introduced me to thrifting, gave me her secret...
She shops the bedskirt isle at Goodwill or Savers to lengthen her curtains or shower curtains!
I have been doing it ever since.....

This denim bedskirt brings out the blue pattern in the brown shower curtain beautifully. Look at the nice detail..I could not have done it better myself.

When looking for fabric to lengthen my shower curtain in my guest bathroom (before the accidental makeover) I found this gold bedskirt with the nice detail at GW.
The current shower curtain (top) has a black silk bottom part, courtesy of a GW bedskirt, too.

I will never be able to hang regular length shower curtains ever again...

What do you do with your shower curtains? I would love to read your comments.

  1. Oh I so agree with you, I love a long shower curtain. I also buy the long clear curtains and then I can tie the pretty ones back for drama. Love all of yours. Hugs, marty
